Do Make Way For An Elephant For He Is The Biggest Mammal On Earth

Do Make Way For An Elephant For He Is The Biggest Mammal On Earth

An elephant is certainly not a nice animal to tame, it can be quite expensive to bear an elephant's lifestyle. An elephant's lifestyle typically consists of a lot of grass and green leaves. But their huge size demands a huge consumption. They are known to follow the tracks of fellow elephants in search of food. They are known to drop their seeds through their dung along the paths they follow. This way, they are known to pollinate flowers and fruits.

Asia and Africa are the only places where elephants are found in their natural habitats. The Sahara desert is known to be the home to elephants in Africa while the jungles and plains of north India and southeast Asia are the common habitats of elephants. Elephants are known to consume a huge variety of fruits and vegetables.
Being social animals, they travel in groups and take good care of their young ones. Their immense strength and power are used in moving logs and other objects that might block their way. They are tamed for their ability to use their strength in diverse directions.

An elephant has typically huge ears which it uses to keep away heat in the summers. It uses its trunk as a shower in which it can collect water from a water-hole or a river and shower it upon itself to cool down. They typically employ low-pitched sounds for communicating among themselves. These low-pitched sounds are known to travel long distances.

Elephants typically form families and are loyal to their families. An elephant herd is headed by a  female elephant. Female elephants mate with male partners after some courtship. The gestation period in elephants is 22 months. Other females in the herd help in the delivery and even in bringing up the baby elephant.
