Fun Tips To Deal With Puppy Teething

Fun Tips To Deal With Puppy Teething

The early days of your pooch can be reasonably troublesome for both of you. Puppies, no matter which breed, tend to lose their teeth between the age of three to nine months. Quite likely, you will have to deal with torn shoes and clothes, damaged furniture, chewed up wires and much more. Here are some quick ideas worth vouching for some peace!

Get the toys in time
Thankfully, pet owners have the choice of opting for puppy toys that are exclusively meant for teething. Most of the stores have these toys, and the earlier you introduce the dog to the same, the better grooming you can attain. Keep in mind that pups will chew things no matter what, so giving choices only ensures that the valuable things are put aside.

Start with basic commands
Pooches are great at learning before time, so commands like ‘leave’, ‘no’, and ‘fetch’ should be taught early. You would want the pup to drop things when you command, instead of just being on a destructive mode. Discipline doesn’t get away with teething, but certainly helps the cause.
Zone your house
Most pet owners lack the basic aspect, which is about zoning the house. Your dog, especially a puppy, should have access to limited areas, such as bedroom or living room. Next time you are working on the computer, don’t let the puppy play with those wires.
Finally, whenever you spot your pup to be chewing something unwanted, simply use the commands at the earliest to keep the learning sessions going!
