Irrawaddy Dolphins

Irrawaddy Dolphins

We all love dolphins because of their amazing and loving nature. It seems like they are very similar to us, so that’s why there’s a mutual love and respect.
Now we will write about an exotic type of dolphins and it is called Irrawaddy dolphin. If you take a look at them you would notice their exotic and distinctive look.
They have very flexible neck and in case you didn’t know they are related to the Orca. This dolphin has very round head and it looks like it doesn’t have a beak.
You can find them in two different colors, dark blue or gray and they have gray color underneath.

This dolphin has wide and long flippers and they can be approximately from seventy inches to one hundred inches long.
When it comes to their weight, they can weight from 220 to 350 pounds. This dolphin likes to dive so every seventy to one hundred seconds it has to come up to get some air.
When it comes up to get some air you can often see its head and sometimes the body, but very rarely you will be able to see its tail.

Unlike the other species Irrawaddy dolphin is not so active as many people may think. What is cute about this dolphin is that it is very curious.
You can often see it observing their surroundings and looking around just to see what surrounds it.
These dolphins usually live in pods, where you can often see three to six members and they are very social.
